Thought I would use this opportunitiy to show my 944 off.

It's a 1986 2.5 lux in Kalahari metallic. Few extras include Porsche fondmetal wheels, rear valance, over sills and front fog lamps, all of which I think finish the car off.

That's really nice, I like that.
Wheels and toastrack set it off a treat. Just make sure there is nothing nasty hiding under the sill covers!

I struggle to take anyone called Pixie seriously mind..[:D]

Thank you! Been round the car with a fine tooth comb, plus it has all the receipts for work done at a professional body shop, only two years ago, on the sills then the over sills were fitted, they did a really good job as far as I can tell, this is my second 944 and one of many cars older than me (an MG I owned was twice my age!!)

Looks great and I'm liking the wheels. I thought I saw you a couple of days ago until I realised that you don't appear to be from Coventry.

Thanks :)

Is it my car you thought you saw in Coventry? I'm in Derbyshire but have not been to Coventry lately, interesting as would love to find out if anyone has the same wheels as me or could tell me more about them!

Very nice car - apart from those sill covers [:'(] - Scotty won't approve either [;)]

I like the wheels a lot - looks like it's a bit lower than standard as well.

Nice car, loving those wheels.

I saw on at the TIPEC show at Gaydon this year in a similar colour (it was faded so could have been the same) and the same wheels but looked in a bit of a sorry state.

Like the wheels......were they fitted from new as an option? Any idea how they compare weight wise with other porsche wheels (e.g design 90)? Might have to do some wheel weight research!

I saw you post on PH the other day, I really love both the colour and wheels [:D] The rear number plate does make it look like it's got a fat 4rse, but that's not necessarily a bad thing :ROFLMAO:. GB sticker does spoil the toast rack a bit though [;)]

Thankyou all [:D]

I love the over sills, can appreciate some don't though! Boxsters - as far as I know yes they were a very expensive optional extra when new, trying to find out about the wheels myself (weight etc.) will keep you posted.

Peter - thankyou, who are you on PH? I think a fat arse suits a 944! Going to get that GB sticker off. Can you get a number plate the same size as the rear for the front, as there appears to be enough room for one, thankyou [:D]

I'm under my own name there too, I don't post very often, but I'm always reading what's going on as most of it is highly amusing (intentionally or not!).

I'm sure you could get a similar 'show plate' plate made up for the front but I suspect that if it was as tall then it would block some cooling.
