...in the nicest possible way[:D]

I'd been searching for a good set of "humps" ever since I bought the car and could never find a set in the right colour, that wern't fakes, damaged or excessively priced.

Much to my delight and surprise Hubby managed to locate a red set, had them painted and left them fitted to the car - nice surprise!

Not to everyone's taste I know. But they make the car look a little different and in my eyes, a little special. I love 'em[:D]
The icing on the cake? He found time to give my car a little TLC instead of pampering everyone elses!

Don't forget the red-clip!

If you haven't got one - get one. It is a plastic clip which clips on to the place where the roof locks in place when closed. It holds the microswitch in there, which makes the car think the roof is up. As it fools the car in to thinking the roof is up and locked in, it disables the ability to accidentally raise the roof with the humps fitted []. Shouldn't cost too much from a Porsche Centre...

...

Why is the clip only available in Red? [] Guess it is a safety thing...

...very nice; will we be seeing J 80XSA at Eynsham?

Thank you Mark!

Thanks too for advice on the red clip - I'll be sure to get one.
I'd like to think I'm not to forgetful that I'd try to raise the roof with the humps in place, handy just in case though.

Reading the description in the link, it mentions "internal motion sensor" Would that not be something to do with alarm system - or am I confusing that with something else?

Looks great!

How long does it take to fit? And can you caarry it in the front or rear luggage compartment, or do you need to fit/unfit in the garage?

Thank you too Peter! (still waiting for a post of "no, they look naff!)

Fitting is a little fiddly, especially getting the velcro straps under the rollover bars, takes me around 4-5 minutes. The outer edges secure into the my hardtop fitting points. Easy enough to remove though.

They split into two pieces and each section fits into its own sturdy neoprene stowage bag. Fits into the rear luggage compartment. No need to have to fit in a garage...quickly removed mine when away from home and caught in a shower.

No, you are quite correct. The red clip is designed to be used with the Humps and Tonnau-Cover (another deleted item), but they have sold loads more to people who clip it in so that the internal alarm sensors are enabled with the roof down.
As the humps and tonnau-cover are no longer available, I guess the site is selling it solely for this function now.
(They used to be only about 50c each as well - but Porsche are now selling them for $3.60 ! - I wonder how much they are in the UK...[&:])

Looks fantastic jackie. Great improvement on a car that doesnt need improving! God i love boxster.
