Hi James, Glad you're pleased with the car[:D] I just had to go for Black as there are so many grey/silver out there... even though it is a nightmare with this weather! Not got to drive mine much, sprang a water leak after only 800 miles & was at OPC for 3 weeks... all sorted under warranty but very anxious as they couldn't identify hose. If you get a problem with coolant hose, get in touch with me or Cambridge OPC as they hold the answers to the problem regarding the spares... Enjoy, Paul (kasspa)

Glad to hear your back on the road! How did you know you had a coolant leak - was it visible or did you smell it? I noticed a bit a of a coolant smell when I was sat stationary in a traffic jam yesterday... Thanks for your help with the memory seats - all functioning now.

Yes it was visible, middle of the car, forward of the rear wheels but hidden by underbody covers! But eventually saw the drips.... BTW the hoses that were being supplied were for Tiptronic whereas mine is Manual so the parts problem shouldn't apply to you but hopefully you won't experience the problem.... Re smell, I panicked when shortly after purchase I experienced a 'rubbery burning' smell coming from around rear wheel arches, doesn't really enter car but was worrying... Evidently, this is normal as exhausts, although covered are very close to rear wheels & therefore ALL road muck gets 'sprayed' onto them, hence the smell.... Check out 'smell of rubber burning' in old posts & you will see it is very common.... I was told: get used to it, you eventually enjoy the smell! Paul

Nice car i had noticed my car was using a little water in header tank and had porsche investigate and it turned out to be a radiator leak, common problem on the 996 i think. I also smelt the anti freeze.

Thanks for the comments and replies about coolant - will get my Indy to check for minor leaks. Cheers

Got it inspected and looks like I need a new front driverside rad... What should I be looking at cost wise? £450 all in??
