My Cayman has Arrived!!!

Picked up my Cayman this afternoon. It is everthing I read about and more. So responsive and agile. Looks even better in the flesh (take the Cayman badge off ). I recently sold my 997S and thought I might regret it. But no, this car is more complete than the 997. You just want to drive it.
Great engine sound, drives smoothly with no awarkness about its weight of the 997.
Go drive one. This car will hurt 997 sales unless you need the tiny seats behind. I will upoad some more photos tomorrow.

James congratulations and happy motoring in what can only be described as technically the most correct road Porsche to date [;)]

Luckily for me I am a complete drop top nutter so can continue buying the best roadster in the world for 5K less than your tin top version :ROFLMAO:

More photos.

Lovely car mate, but where is one supposed to put the kids or the dog?[8|]

Do you miss the 'limited slip differential, a device that improves grip, particularly traction' which the 997 has?[8|]

The Mail on Sunday loved the car.

The 997 does not have a limited slip differential as standard. My 997S did not have it. You only get it if you specify sports suspension. I will let you know how if handles when I get it on the track but on UK roads after 200 miles it feels more stable than my 997.

I suggest drive one then make your mind up.

...I have driven the Cayman[8D] and it feels as fast and solid as my Carrera.

and it is a fantastic car in every possible way. I was thinking this morning that if i were driving it into work that everyone would be staring and drooling over their dashboards. Enjoy, you lucky man[;)]

It would just be useful to know (since you must be one of the world's first people to go from a 997 S to a Cayman) what noticeable differences you found. Since its difficult in a 10 min test drive.
