My faith in the OPC has been restored

Since my diabolical treatment over the recent years by my local OPC I have been at my wits end as to what to do for servicing etc.

I visited East London Porsche today to get my 64RS serviced. The service I received was out of this world and such a huge contrast on previous experiences locally.

They serviced my car there and then while I waited (Because that's what I wanted) and kept me informed all the way through even checking to find out which grade of oil I wanted.

Then when the bill came they sat me down and talked through the items and explained it all in detail. Everything they carried out was with my prior knowledge and consent.

Plenty of parking and a great bunch of guys that seem to be happy to serve and have a real passion for the product.....so refreshing

Thought I'd share this experience with you guys because if any of you are thinking about a service then it's good to have a recomendation. Especially if you're as fussy as me.[:D]

We echoed the same great serviced when we went for the free health check as part of the London region East London day. Scott Diebelius is the new service managed who has joined a couple of months ago and we are already in talks about a full 111point check for all members sometime in the Spring next year. I know Gary Sorrell of Porsche Cambridge (both Lancaster group) has been spending a lot of time at East london, so no doubt we will be getting the level of service members have been used to at Porsche Cambridge... you should email Scott this feedback, PM me and I'll pass you his email address.

Very trusting Lee, taking the RS to an OPC. Despite being told be Tonbridge that they have a mechanic (sorry, technician) who has worked for the network since God was a boy, I would far rather drive to Chertsey and trust it to GT One than them and at a much lower labour charge.

I've not used Porsche Centre East London for a while but they were very good when I used to use them for many years (then known as Lancaster Bow). It is the same dealership that supplied my 968 in 1993. I've more recently been using Porsche Centre Tonbridge but only because it is more convenient.
