Hey all…

First post and my first Porsche. I fell in love with the 992 and had to have one. Picked up my C2 last week and it has been an absolute delight. Has been on my life goal list to have a white 911 so happy to have ticked that off!

*Disclaimer* Posting on my phone so this could be a disaster with uploading the photo ??

Welcome to the forum Marcus

Very nice 992 [8D]

How many options boxes did you tick, or how many options did it come spec'd with?

Thanks James.

I went with privacy glass, RS design wheels, Sports exhaust with black tips and Sport chrono pack. I will get some better photos once I’ve got a full detail and it’s not sat at work for most of the day…

Afternoon chaps...

As promised, wanted to share a couple more photos. First was from the day before I picked her up at the OPC, second was taken this morning after a quick clean yesterday.

3 weeks in now, one thing I have to say about the 992 vs any other 911 I have driven (996 & 997) is that this feels a lot more 'purposeful', the cabin, seat position and the feel at any speed is like nothing I have experienced in any car - look forward to meeting as many of you soon!

Firstly congratulations; she’s a beaut. I think white works really well.

Interesting what you say in terms of comparison to previous models.

Personally, I find the 992 a bit lacking in character compared to my 997.2

Don’t get me wrong, it’s hugely capable, significantly quicker in all circumstances and the tech is excellent. Maybe that’s part of what I have yet to come fully to terms with. It feels like I have to press on a lot faster that I would in the 997 to get the same level of "fun”. It also feels a lot bigger in the road, especially on the lanes I normally drive.

Overall, for me, it is a massively capable GT car rather than the sports car the 997 is. Don’t get me wrong, I love the car but the enjoyment is different.

Perhaps I should leave the 992 building now!

Thanks Mike, white was a non negotiable for me and sits well against the RS wheels and privacy glass.

I never owned another 911, but from what I have driven in the past, I feel a lot more "part of the car" - which may be linked to the tech and being able focus more on the drive, I don't know. Having covered a little over 1,000 miles, I can understand why you would say about the level of fun though but I guess that comes with the modern territory.
