My grey 85.5 Lux

Bought this oval dash 85.5 Lux back in November after selling my Iris Blue 968 Sport. I bought it as a bit of a project as it needed put through MOT and some TLC with the bodywork.

For MOT I had to replace all the brake discs & pads, two new front calipers, full service, replace some fuses, bulbs amd remove the ugly rear wiper and motor. Also had to have part of the nearside sill cut out and replaced and the rear quarter panel painted. So it sailed through MOT and I have been enjoying it ever since.

In truth it needs a full respray as there are numerous blemishes where the sills have been previously repaired and painted by Stevie Wonder, as well as the roof which has very little shine to it. Mechanically the car is fantastic though and drives so well, I'm loving it. It came with a huge A4 folder full of every invoice from new, including almost all the old MOT's. It has been very well looked after throughout its life.

I had been thinking of selling it as I went to view a 911 a few weeks ago, but I couldn't stretch the budget enough for the 911 so the 944 is staying for now.

I think all 944s are a project in one way or another! I bought mine in Jan 2015 and the previous two owners had spent thousands and thousands on it, didn't mean I had to not consider opening my wallet!!

Its currently having some welding done for the MoT but recently I have done a Koni conversion and uprated the front ARB bushes. Next up is to do the rear wheel bearing to get rid of a drone otherwise its the box out!

Wouldn't swap it for anything at the moment, love the car [:)]
