I though I would post a picture of my new 991S cab. I love it. Just upgraded from my white 991S coupe

He's only jealous Huw. Cracking soft top and sunny skies this morning. Park wherever you like [:D]

Looks great...

How you doing with stone chips? mine is white as well, very easy to get scratched... Got a few of them and the car is still 3 weeks old. I wonder is it because it is not metallic?

Cheers

Generally my experience is that non-metallic white is quite soft and you have to be really careful cleaning it. The worst area seems to be the rear where exhaust, brake dust and road debris accumulate. I use a pre-wash such as Auto Finesse Citrus Power on the rear and lower sides to loosen the deposits so they can largely be removed using a power wash before hand washing with lambs wool mitt. Tar spatter is another joy of white cars and I use a tar remover with cotton buds. - I must get a life!!

With rubbish road surfaces, the only solutions to stone chips are either to live with them or to get Ventureshield or similar fitted soonest. Having tried the first approach I now have my cars' front area and bonnets covered as a minimum. Best not to wax these areas but use a sealant (e.g. Werkstat Jett) which is better for lighter coloured cars.

See my old car below which had front, bonnet, wing tops and mirrors covered - you can't see the join...

In regards to the stone chips, I have not suffered on this one yet. I protect the paint with a good few coats of zymbol. Glacier, I wash with zymbol shampoo. If I did get a stone chip, I will use a touch up.
