My "new" 996

Hello all,

After a break of 6 months from Porsche ownership I realised that selling up was a huge mistake - and so today I bought a 2002 996 Carrera 4. It's midnight blue and has the full aerokit with carrera spoiler, PCM, PSM, sports seats and a few other extras I can't remember :)

Looking forward to attending some PCGB events in the car this year and meeting other 996 owners :)

Cheers for now,
Gavin

PS. We recently moved to Surrey but the R29 forum doesn't look very busy, would I still be welcome at R20 events do you think? :)

Hi Gavin,
Welcome back; R20 London meets and events are always attended by a mix of the neighbouring region and if you are free this Saturday then why not join us for an early morning tunnel run and then various things rest of day in East London?

For details click here:

If you cannot make it for that, then there is the Ace Cafe meet next Wednesday in NW London.

Worth bookmarking this page for London region meets and events:

Kind regards,
Kish

Fair point [:)]

Here's one from the dealer's website, I'll post more when I pick the car up next week.

Thanks Kish, I'll probably be picking the car up next Thursday so will hopefully attend the next event after then. I went on the R20 Goodwood run last year, is that planned again this year?

Thanks,
Gavin

Great stuff, thanks for that.

Thanks all for the welcome [:)] Good point about the name change, is that editable or will I have to cancel the car [:D]

Got a great deal on the car (in my opinion) so I'm really chuffed with it - really like the look of the aerokit, much prefer the spoiler to the pre-facelift GT3 version.

Counting down the days now...

Hi again,

Picked the car up last Thursday [:D][:D][:D] - I've been resisting the urge to drive it ever since, not easy when you work from home.

I'll now attempt to post a few pictures I took whilst trying to make room for it in the garage [:)]
