My new 997 C2S Cab!

Hasan

New member
After 2 months of looking, I found the car I was looking for last week.

It's a 2005 C2S Basalt Black Cab, with 25k on the clock, and 1 previous owner.

It has full OPC history, with Sports Heated Seats, Bose, Park Assist and Navigation.

On Saturday I spent 4 hours, washing, claying, polishing then waxing the car....it now looks fantastic.

I've booked the car at OPC Cambridge next week to put on a set of new Turbo Wheels/Tyres and a PSE to complete the car. [:D].....will post proper photos then

I took these photos on my iPhone at a friends house, so the quality isn't the sharpest!

(PS: If anyone is interested in an as new set of 19" Carrera Classic Wheels, or sport sound modified OE back boxes then please PM me....they will both come off the car next week!)

Hi Hasan. The car looks great - which products do you use? Incidentally, what's going to happen to your existing 19 inch Carrera classics?

Hi Adrian,

For claying, I used a Meguirs claying kit, which included the clay bar, lubricating spray and microfibre towel.....then Meguirs Scratch X for polishing and then Meguirs Gold Class Wax to finish.

Carrera classic wheels will be for sale to anyone that wants them....

Congrats on the new car Hasan, you've had a troubling 997 experience to date, so I'm glad you've met your match, just in time for summer too.

Hi Hasan,

Have you given thought to re-spraying your Carrera classics to the colour of the Turbos wheels, it could save you a considerable sum,
the result would be unique, and you would also benefit by having the easiest set of wheels to wash and keep clean !

John.

Hi John,

That's an interesting idea but I've set my heart on the configuration of a black cab set in contrast to a lovely set of turbo wheels.....
I've already ordered them through OPC Cambridge together with the PSE and they arrive next week.

To mitigate the cost slightly, I've contacted Jasmine Motorsport who are buying the Carrera Classics, so I'm being semi sensible [:D]

I promise to post proper photo's after that....I am ready to fall in love all over again with the 997!
