Lovely! The red tail lights are a nice touch, and the uprated PCM really lifts the cabin. Enjoy![:D]

Congratulations! A very nice car. The first 997TT I ever saw was on the official Porsche stand at Geneva MS and that was GT Silver. I believe its a standard Carrera GT colour so you're in good company and it really does suit the car. [:)] Have fun and don't forget to join 997 register once you're a Club member! [;)] Regards, Clive

Congratulations Peely and I'm pleased the car is up to the expectations so far... Like Wills commented, I do think the black PCM is much more fitting to the interior in a black car.. I ended up spec'ing a silver front to my PCM as I didn't like the contrast of the volcano grey in standard form against my interior colour.. Plenty of Turbo owners on here, so your in good company [8D] Clive- I saw the very same car in Geneva too [;)] garyw

Thanks for the comments guys, I must say when I first saw a GT silver TT, there was no going back for me, it had to be that colour and nothing else. As far as the PCM3, I'm still having difficulty pairing my phone via blootooth, anyone have any experience of this with the later system ?

No problem if it is a Nokia. Otherwise get the OPC to change the Bluetooth settings. You will then be able to access all phones, but lose a little data... phone will work perfectly, but maybe not all functions

No it's not a Nokia, just a cheap LG that I carry with me while at work. Really, so any idea what the problem is with the new system ? I have bluetooth in 2 other cars which are slightly older and have had no probs whatsoever with linking up ? So what functions am I likely to lose ?

Sorry, all I know is that to optimise Bluetooth, Porsche went for the Nokia system. Ask them to change the system. Sorry, not sure what you will loose, apart from the ability to view both sim card AND phone memory. You can only have one or the other. Which OPC did you get the car from?

For your phone to be fully functional in the car it needs to support something called SAP - Sim Access Profile. It's mostly Nokias that have this and one or two others. Nokias will pair with the bluetooth in the car and then the PCM becomes the phone effectively by using the sim card in the phone and the phone does not function if you press the buttons. Your phone book, texts and all appear on screen and the phone book appears on the display beneath the rev counter. Alternatively, an OPC can set up the bluetooth for HFP (hands free) and any phone will pair with it. In this case the car just becomes a hands free kit but calls etc are controlled by the phone itself. See here for full instructions and compatible phones [link=http://www.porsche.com/all/media/pdf/MC_Bluetooth_UK.PDF]http://www.porsche.com/all/media/pdf/MC_Bluetooth_UK.PDF[/link]

Looks great, how many miles has it done? As for phones, I use the bluetooth with an iPhone, works fine. PCM3 is a big improvement.

No, the great Lancashire dales ! On some days we can see Blackpool tower, about 25 mls away ! [:D]

Well it had done 7k, but now approching 8k ! [;)] The car originally came from Chester OPC. Many thanks TScaptain, very informative ! Would agree, the PCM3 system is superb,.............. think I may go and get a Nokia to save the hassle ?

That's what I did - ditched the old phone and got a Nokia which works perfectly - as does my wife's. Only thing to watch is which phone the car picks up first when you both are in the car.

Hi if you look at porsche's website,go into personalisation & service, then into porsche service, scroll down to the bottom, you will find instructions for pairing phones.(there is no LG phones on the list) Chris

Yeah, I've read the instruction booklet for pairing on the PCM3 system, and the on screen system got as far as asking for passcodes etc and my phone recognised the system and asked the same, but when it came to making a call or receiving a call..........No Phone Located ? I have rang my OPC this morning at 10am.....................still waiting for a return call at 2pm ?!!
