My Old 944 Turbo For Sale

My '85 turbo is up for sale.

For those who may have missed the thread about her a while ago she has a low compression problem in cylinder number 4. This may well be due to a problem with the bore or cylinder itself, though could conceivably be due to a valve or even something as simple as a worn piston ring (though I would think the latter to be unlikely). Without taking the head off its not possible to know for sure

That said she drives and pulls well (when she was equipped with the Promax L2 kit she made 274bhp at last years rollers of truth - please note she is now back to standard engine spec).

She has a full service history (OPC and Indy) and had her belts and water pump replaced last summer. She has also had numerous things replaced and sorted over the four and a half years I have owned her.

Bodily she is top notch with no rust (yes really !) and has a black leather interior in very good condition. All the electrics work.

She would be ideal for someone who is handy with spanners and wants a project car, or has access to a donor engine or even someone who simply fancies a cheap Turbo to run around in (as I said she runs just fine and no reason to think she won't carry on doing so for a good while yet without any drama). I wasn't even aware there was a problem until I had a compression test done.

She will be on fleabay in a couple of days so will post a link then. Difficult to arrive at an asking price as she is a really tidy car but clearly the engine situation is an issue, so if anyone was interested in her I would be open to offers. What I do know is she is genuinely way too go to be broken and it would be heartbreaking to have to do that, so I am not looking for silly money.

Car is at Promax for anyone who wants to take a look.

Any other questions just ask !
