Mick - is that your old car? Its been on Paul's site for probably almost a year so guess that would work....you offered it to me at 16k....should have taken it![:D]

He's spent a bit more on it, adding cage, seats, LWF, wings, wheels etc. and he's been driving it himself having some fun with it. Should've kept it myself! [:D] Didn't recognise it until Paul pointed it out! The only way I could tell now is the side repeater! [:D]

Mick, I remember your old C2 well from trackdays and when you decided it had to be an RS going forward. [:D]
It never clicked, ths was your old car, Paul has certainly done a nice job on it, especially the cage. The attention to detail is good, I especially like the removal of the headlight washers, but there are quite a few non CS features visible ;)
I think any conversion gets to the point where economics take over for the tangible benefit of accuracy, I bet the car is a lot of fun, with less potential financial risk when used on track...makes sense! [:)]

Intersting Mick that you went from that to an RS. I did the same and had a LHD 993 Carerra which I did the suspension etc and changed as i could see myself sinking loads into it so luckily swapped to RS before values went up too much.

Sean Lockyear then did to mine similar things to what GT have done to yours. I saw it at Seans trackday recently and it did look great! Shame we can't keep everything.

Does anyone have any idea who Paul got to manufacture, fit the roll cage and paint the inside of this car? I had a quote for this type of job from a leading indy in in the North, and to be honest I thought the price was ridiculous.

Regards, Matt.

If Paul M, doesn't respond, drop him a line.....I though he uses GTR Motorsports in Wokingham for the cages, they certainly look like the matter reproductions they are making.
