My brother and I have just got my SC Cab 1983 build/1987 reg back on the road and set off to visit our parents in Gor South Spain on September 17th 2010.

As the car has been on SORN for so long (8 years) we had never checked or put together the cars history. With the need for road tax we neatly put the cars documents, service reports, parts orders etc in line and the same name appeared "Mr Simon Cowell"

Unsure if this was the same Mr Cowell that somehow manages to get into all our living rooms without an invite we check futher. We soon found a picture of Simon shown on the Piers Morgan interview spread accros the car showing number plate and all.

Unsure if this really adds any value to my car, but a good story to tell and helps identify the cars history.

For the record he was and awful driver and had the car recovered having smashed the front passenger wing, then he had the wheels stolen before selling the car on before he moved back home to his mums.

I read an interview a while back in the daily mail about simon cowell. He mentioned in it about being successful in the 80 s , owning a porsche 911 , spending cash like it was going out of fashion and then going bust. He also mentioned that he was too young to appreciate the quality of a fine sports car such as a porsche, but admitted that if you were a bit flash in those days then you had to have a porsche 911. The ultimate yuppie car for the 80s as we remember it.

I would think that has devalued it 25%...........[:D]

Saying that I once had Jeremy Beadles Lexus 400S..........[:-]

I love some of those classified ad's for 80's motors eg Tesstarossa's
"Ex Andrew Ridgly of Wham fame", or "Ex Pete Watermen". [:D]
