just crosses the 50k mile mark in the GTS - not a daily drive, occasional drive to work and mainly weekend drives .
car came with Pirelli tyres and after a track day at Goodwood these were trashed after a total of 17500 miles - good grip but I never really get on with Pirelli . Next set of bridgestones which my previous 997 2s was shod with , these would just not wear out on the fronts and I changed them at 49,000 miles after half a dozen track days and some 31500 miles . I only changed them because they did not seem to be running as true at speed and at over 5 years old seemed prudent on a high performance car- they still had 4 mm of tread though!
so I thought long and hard about what to put on and as I drive the car for pleasure when dry I went for Michelin’s pilot sport cup 2 . -
Well that was a month ago and no rain but in this weather these tyres are quite fantastic - it’s like the suspension has been uprated , the turn in and stabity of the car are notably improved .- the car feels like it’s being sucked into the road .
now I know when it starts to rain or temperature drop it will be a different story. We all use our Porsche’s for different reasons but for me when. The weather turns its a boring Volvo with cross climate or even Nokian winter tyres , but for now it was definitely the righ choice .

Also after 50k miles the front end is looking a little peppered - especially on a black car - so it’s a front end respray booked in for next week and then xpel protection film - I’ll post some pictures when it’s done
