My yank 944

Guest

New member
I bought my black 944 in the States where I drove it for four years, and now drive it in France (10 years). Following a brief visit to the UK it has a British plate (and MoT!). Problems are rare, but at the moment I have a hydraulic leak from the flex pipe linking the brake master cylinder reservoir to the clutch master cylinder. Does anyone know where I can find a spare or a short length of suitable replacement flex hose please. By the way does anyone else own a US spec 944?

That hose is LHD specific; RHD cars have a separate master cylinder reservoir for clutch and brakes.[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]Personally I would take the old hose to a local hose maker and have them build me one from braided line. Typically they charge about a tenner for a short one up to £30 for something longer (depends also on fittings) in my experience.[FONT=verdana, geneva"]

I have a brand new LHD replacement hose with fittings etc. bought in error, If you want it I will check how much it cost and get back to you with a price. I think it was relatively inexpensive which was why I bought it without thinking too hard as part of a larger order.

US spec? Naah. bloomin overriders! But I do at least have the steering wheel on the "correct" side.

The hose is that blue one right? I think I have some braided stuff and some proper clamps in the garage. I'll have to have a look though.

Oh, and welcome!
