MY04 Latest Info and it's good news!

[]Well I think its good news subject to seeing the "New Service Charges"

All MY04 Boxsters & 996's will now have service intervals every 2 years or 12k Miles which ever comes first.

Apparently Cayenne is 2 years or 18K Miles!

I am waiting to hear whether the MY03 cars can also be included in this new servicing routine. Will keep you posted as and when

I would have thought a vehicle used regularly off road and on rough ground would need shorter service intervals.

Correct especially as they won't be seeing any track action like your normal Porsche fare would be []

Problem with a 2 year service interval is that we may be doing damage to our beloved boxsters without knowing it!

I had a new clutch fitted in the spring and because the wear was significant, needed a new flywheel as well! If the work had been done earlier I would have saved 700 quid!

If covering low mileages you would at least want to be changing oil every year wouldn't you? Not that the OPC has to do it!

Been in touch with local OPC in Exeter and they are insisting that only 04 cars will have extended service intervals! Something to do with warenty on previous models even though the 03 Boxsters are identical!!!

Very pleased to inform me that they only charge £270.00 for service though (12K).
