I agree the list he rolled off all sounded pretty small fry to me but when I asked to have them sorted at the first service next March they refused to allow me to do this [&o]

TSB Number , description

556 - Front Luggage Compartment - replacement lock mounting bolts
566 - emergency hood lever missing from toolkit
573 - Coolant hose potentially rubbing on engine mount fixing bolt heads - check and fit plastic caps
574 - fit washers to exhaust clamps on cars with droopy exhausts

608 - replace front air intake grilles - possible that some have iffy paint application which might peel off.
W546 - fit seal on left bulk head cover (over pollen filter)
W547 - fit washers (?) bolting roof motors
W556 - new bolts for front boot lock

- on cars built between November 22 and December 13 2005 (114 in total) the parking brake could fail because of a potentially faulty bearing

Interestingly the 2000-2100 rpm buzzing sound on a trailing throttle at 50'C engine temperature (vibration of oil pump pressure relief valve piston) isn't part of a TSB, just a replacemnt under warranty if customer complains.

Daro,

This is not a regular recall, but a special one just for you.

They are going to remove the fabric top and weld a fastback roof on it for you, as they know from these forums how you yearn for a Cayman.

That's the list he rattled off to me but I am sure I had some of this done (if not all) on April 9th when I went in for a replacement battery under warranty and 2 hours later was handed the car back and told all recalls had also been done hence the 2 hour wait.

Do you know if all that lot were out and about in April this year? If so I think my OPC has overlooked or not recorded the fact I've been sorted

Can't see anything there that warrants the car having to be in OPC for an entire day ... All looks like do it while you wait stuff to me or am I wrong [&o]

Soem of those have been around for 12 months or more - the coolant one and the exhaust would have been around March time i guess, the air intake grilles and wind deflector are more recent, only the last few months

OK have spoken to OPC again and have now established its about 2 hours work so can be done while I wait on a Saturday or Sunday of my chosing [:D] and the codes / work required are as follows:-

572 Not on your list and service receptionist can't remember what it stands for [&o]
573 Coolant hose potentially rubbing on engine mount fixing bolt heads
574 Fit washers to exhaust clamp if drooping
608 replace front air intake grilles

I just picked up my 05/05 987 a few weeks ago. Do you think these modifications will already have been done or should I be getting in touch with the OPC?

If you bought it from an OPC then they should have been done but a quick call will soon confirm either way [;)]

Left in a MINI loaner was called at 13.00pm told all recalls done arrived at garage at 13.45 to discover the car was still being worked on finally finished at 15.15 [&o]
