Something that I had not picked up on last time Autocar ran this picture (they published it again today Robert says - must be a slow news week!) is that the steering wheel looks like it might be height adjustable!

Hope so! [:)]

Could someone explain to me how this is supposed to be an improvement? I'm sure it will work just fine, but it looks like the dash from every other Vauxhall, Ford, Audi, etc etc on the road.

It is generic design, unimaginitive, boring, and searingly DULL!

Vents look like they come from the Ford Fiasco, the steering wheel from an Astra, the lower half of the dash is generic Volkseatkodaudi and the shiny grey plastic looks like it's moddled on a 1985 Nissan Bluebird minicab. What have they done!!!

....today's fussy retro cabin...

Retro? All that fake wood and oval analogue clock rubbish is retro - what's retro about the Boxster cabin?

I must agree with you, especially as I have always found the Boxsters interior to be very original and stylish unlike the current rumoured new effort []

It matches the Cayenne interior...

:ROFLMAO:Blimey! aren't Porsche worried it might dent Cayenne sales and have people trading back down to the cheapest member in the family [;)]

Contemporary...... I hope Porsche is trying to wind up the journos with that interior pic. Hate to repeat all that seems to have been said but if that really is the next interior I'm affraid the Boxter has just lost it's individuality and become another TT. Lets hope it doesn't make production.

Yeah me too .. I was hoping this was the original concept abandoned in
favour of what we currently have :ROFLMAO:

Unfortunately that centre console with the sat-nav etc looks very current []

What a totally awful interior [:'(] the boxter interior at the moment is a nice place to be. That steering wheel looks streightt out of 80's toyota!

The 997 has the same interior as this apparrently.

No I don't like it either (apart from the height adjustable wheel).

Speaking to a man in the know I am afraid it appears this is the real deal for both next 997 but with 5 dials & Boxster []

I keep looking at it, but I still don't like it[&o]

Adjustable wheel height great. Everything else looks terrible[:'(]
