mytyres online misery

Hi All,
Recently ordered up some tyres from mytyres Delticom they offer a good price but the delivery was longer than expected and I needed to get my car MOT'd so obtained some loan wheels and cancelled tyres so that I could order up 4 of a slighly cheaper type before the original two had been delivered, now this is all permissable and covered thoroughly in the small print. After several emails the tyres seem to have gone missing in mytyres distribution network and they do not issue a refund until they arrive back in the depot IN GERMANY.

So this message is just to offer a word of caution, I have ordered tyres from mytyres in the past and have had no problem but obviously using the return/cancellation policy brings out a different side mytyres Customer Service.

I hope I can shortly report a satisfactory resolution but as each day passes I am drawn to obtaining my 4 tyres from a more local source.

regards

Paul

There seem to be a lot of hassle with tyres.
Either not in stock or very expensive with waiting lists etc.
Are we living in the middle of Africa??
Why is this?

It's August - same problem every year, Italy shuts down, so no Pirelli, everyone hoovers up all the other brands who can't keep up with demand, leading to a shortage.

Hi a quick mytyres update - a week around, email from them blaming hauliers who have misplaced the tyres so no refund until they are located and they appear in the depot in Germany. I've since searched "mytyres problems" and I'm not alone it appears when it comes to mytyres refund policy. If anyone is thinking of using online tyre suppliers please for peace of mind do an online search. I will of course update the forum when mytyres delticom resolve the issue.

Regards

Paul (being very restrained from shouting out mytyres to the wider forum networks)
