Just got back from a trip round europe with a mate (in his RS2, sorry no 951 anyomre :( ), via the ring on friday 1st and saturday 2nd august. Saw some nice 944s and 968s and wondered if they might have been anyone from here?

These are some of the better pictures:

And the RS2

ah. well, we were on a road trip to France via the ring and Italy, so the car was well loaded and not in ideal state for tracking. We did do one lap but at a very modest pace (almost lost it at one bend too!). I wasn't driving but it felt pretty tight even with such a full load. Not much more to say about it really. Was a nice car to drive around europe in, but it would have been nicer if the AC hadn't failed just before we left[]

Thanks ... interesting stuff. There have been discussions on here about RS2's previously, and it is one car I could be quite tempted away from the 944 stable by!

It's undoubtedly a fantastic car! I didn't drive it on the ring but it's a RHD car and we shared the driving throughout the trip so I had a good chance to stretch is legs (on the autobahn too!) and it's very nice to drive.

310 ish BHP in standard form I believe. Got a nice exhaust system on it and, lowered with some some hellishly hard top-mounts which makes it nasty on bumpy roads but corners like a beast! The power delivery is quite smooth but it pulls hard once the turbo kicks in (I would like more of a kick though) and the quattro system makes it easy to put the power to good use in most any conditions. You can drive on at 70 on the motorway even in heavy rain without any worries at all.

And of course loads of loadspace compared to a 944 ;)

Oh yea, sounds effin awesome in the tunnels in 2nd and 3rd at WOT! :D

... more good reasons to buy one, eh!

My Bank Manager will love me.

(Thanks anyway! Glad you enjoyed it)

Stop it! I nearly started to look for one again after we last discussed them and they'll be like rocking horse doo-doo down here so don't make me want one.

Those pics remind me the 924CGT seems to have increased in value recently, they seem to be nearer 20k than 10k these days,
