The Boxster name badge on the boot got damaged at a hand car wash. I have a replacement but need advice on how to remove the damaged one.

Any help and advice much appreciated

Kevin,

The badge is only stuck on so you could try heating it very gently with a hairdryer and/or use some dental floss to get between the badge and the boot.

Use waxed floss and hot water on a microfibre towel also works well and enables glue to be softened thoroughly with several hot "wettings"

I agree - dental floss does the trick - one other thought - take a picture as to where the badge is located and/or mark with say a felt tip pen so you can get the new one on in the right place.

The badges are available on Ebay and from design911 (5% club discount)

Thanks all for your tips as the same just happened to me.
Also used Design911 and got the 5%
Cheers

Just replaced mine and it was easy!
Floss, a hot towel and some warm sunshine helped it come off.
Lining it up was simple too as here was a 'shadow' left of the old one once I had cleaned the area.

Best
Nick

Just took my badge off today with dental floss then used Brasso to remove the glue and residue - easy taped it up at start and finish and underneath looks very good now

just removed both the Boxster and the Spyder badges off my car, i just used strong cotton. i ordered sone waterproof double sided badge tape off ebay to replace just the Spyder badge but i have been thinking about just geting some "Spyder" stickers made and putting that on in place as i still have the origional badges. a lot easier to clean and remove and replace origional ones in 5 mins.
