narrow and wide body exhaust tips

Just come back to 993's with a gorgeous Grand Prix White 4S - yippee!

not taken delivery yet but I know I want to change the exhaust tips already.

The car currently has chrome oval tips on but I think the wide body cars look better with the OEM squared-off, flat bottomed tips.. expecially with the little surround on the bodywork you get on the S's.

I've got a pair of these squared-off style tips at home taken from my old 1996 narrow body 993 which were fitted from new.

My question is - can anyone confirm if the squared-off OEM tips are exactly the same on narrow body and wide body 993's? - if they are I want to clean up the ones I've got and put on to the 4S.

Thanks.

The exhaust tips on the wide body cars have a greater offset than the narrow body cars--the narrow body tips can be fitted but can look a bit out of place.

Thanks Steve - I was afraid someone what confirm that.

David - yeah I did, it's a corker. I've lusted after a grand prix white 993 for ages, didn't think there were any in the uk. plans were for a 993tt but this saves me plenty of cash... the missus is happy!

ps just seen your new tt - gorgeous.
