Narrow Bodied 930???

Here's a question for you: over the years I've read of the existence of a limited number of factory produced 930 turbos supplied with the standard narrow body from the normally aspirated car. I've never seen one, or indeed seen a picture of one. It must have been an interesting beast, maybe just a tad faster than standard due to the lower air resistance from the thinner body. I know one guy who shoehorned a turbo engine into an normal SC, but that's not quite the same.

Does anyone have one/have any information/know of one/know any useful links (with piccys)?

I don't recall seeing one iether. Not sure how the Turbo suspension's rear trailing arms would fit? However companys such as Ruf nearly always seem to prefer the narrow body for areodynamic purposes.

There were a couple of SC's with turbo motors installed in the Yorkshire / Lancs region in the late '80s and early ninties. The owners had trouble with the clutches and the brakes not being strong enough and were eventually converted with turbo arches and running gear.
In some books it has been mentioned there may have been available from the factory an option of a turbo in a norrow body, but I have not been able to confirm this.

Hi,

I remember reading at the time (late 80's) that there was an option to use the narrow body, but I guess everyone wanted the "full on" look to go with their hair [:)] so I'm not sure how many there would be
