Thats a sweet looking car. What the engine. Oh and with a light weight interior reading your other thread be careful about how loud you make the exhaust.

My NGT (Admittdly no carpet) with cup pipe secondary and cat is 106 and I wore ear plugs on long journeys!!

Thanks H_____
It's standard engine apart from air filter and Ruf Ecu. It has Ruf adjustable suspension and anti roll bars and other Ruf bits like lip spoiler, 18" Ruf wheels, pedals, steering wheel, stut brace, etc.
At the moment it has a Cat and Ruf cup pipe. I have booked in with Hayward and Scott now for De Cat and their rear silencer that replaces both original silencers. They assure me that it is a bearable noise ( Around 105db, i think ).
I hope so as I do want to do a few track days and also don't want my ears bleeding when I get to Le Mans :)
When i stripped the car I was so tempted to go the NGT route but TBH I got so fed up trying to remove the bl**dy glue up that I decided on the LWT carpet. In the long term, asI do want to use the car on the road, it was probably the right decision.
BTW I have to say that your car looks fantastic. The best car in the best colour !! Total envy ;)

I'm very glad to see you have taken good care of my old car Kev and you've done a much more comprehensive job than that Wheeler Dealers team would have done!

Did you manage to get the suspension cleaned up ok as it was sound but in need of a good wire brushing and some fresh paint ?

Hi Richard,

It has been hard work but got there in the end. What started off as a simple track project has turned into a full rebuild !!
Yes, had the suspension cleaned up. Now looking to do the calipers and braided hoses next. It looks a bit different than when I picked it up from you last year :)
The S2 didn't float your boat then ??
Good to hear from you mate.

Hard work but at least you know you will have a great car built how you want that will last quite a few years now (unless you stuff it of course!) and you will get a good price when you sell it. I don't remember the car having an LSD so that is well worth doing if you are serious about track work.
I drove a 964 C2 at silverstone last year that had RS suspension bushes and an RS flyswheel and it was fantastic, it felt very planted and the flywheel meant the engine wanted to rev more easily.

The S2 was a good car and if it wasn't for me getting a job in London and not needing a car I probably would have kept it as a daily runner. It's a far easier car to use every day but given the choice it's got to be a 911 every time! The chap that bought it has a 964 too so he has ended up with the best of both worlds.

Would be good to see the car in the flesh sometime,
