Went Saturday I do think its welll organised and seemed bigger show.

Some excellent cars, nice Porsche of course, good examples of the marque.

I'm biased!
I helped with the setting up and laying out the Club stand and the maning of it Friday and Saturday.
I thought the stand was basicaly very good, the cars were great. Maybe could have had a better spread of 911s (2x 993, no early or late cars) but we had a GT2 and the 996 sectioned car last year, and we made up for last years lack of front engined cars! All good there!
The 550 and the Pre A were fantastic although the very blue lighting made photographing them difficult!
The rest of the show from the car clubs was great with some real rarities, some beautiful and some less so. My favourites were the SP252 Daimler - the Dart re-engineered and styled by Lyons and the Jag team, and the Bugatti Atlantic (Type 47 I think).
I really enjoyed my time there meeting loads of nice people and am looking forward to January and the Autosport.

Glad someone else liked that Bugatti....the Veyron attracted more attention, but the 47 was so elegant (worth more too, probably!). I know whichnI'd prefer!

My other favourite was a Riley 9 that looked like it had just been pulled out of a barn...a complete resto for £7k. Amazing there's still stuff like that about!

Interested to hear more on the Bug... If it was an "Atlantique" the number would be 57.

Thank you for the commitment of working the show on Friday and Saturday, sadly the two days I wasn't there [;)]
Whilst the choice of cars will never be to everyones first choice, I thought the 550 and PreA were stunning centerpieces.

Whilst I agree the blue light did make the cars a little more difficult to photograph, the lamps were used to try and overcome the Sodium orange that the NEC use, which looks so much more effective on Silver cars.....[&:] but hey ho...

Well done to the chaps (and chapesses of course) from west mids for setting up the stand and the very nice display of Porsches, quite a spread of models I thought and I know how difficult it is to organise things and you can never please everyone [&:]

Those of us from region 3 had a great day, infact thats some of us under the PCGB banner on the right of the photo above.

Thanks again folks [;)]

Hi Nick
I d just like to point out on Patrick Bowers behalf that it was a joint East / West Midlands (R8 & R9) event.
Mike

Shame I couldn't go. This event is one of the little jewels in the Club's crown that often hasn't had all the support it should have in the past so well done to all who helped organise it and volunteer at the NEC.

Hi Nick
Thanks for that I know both Patrick and Paul put an awful lot of effort into the event and they will appreciate your comments.
Mike

Commented on Edds thread but will do so again ! The overall event was excellent I thought with a brilliant variety of exotic and not so exotic cars of years gone by. PCGB stand was right up there with the best of the displays with a great cross section of cars and plenty of club members on hand to answer questions from the many members of the public who were stopping by. Thanks to everyone involved. [:)]

Ive been to the last 2 nec shows and I love this event with all those wonderfull cars on display.
The Porsche stands were brill aswell[;)]
