need your opinion on some thing

Hey Guys.

Just wondering if any one has ever fitted these to their car. And if so do they make any kind of difference?

They look like 968 caster mounts to me. They make a hell of a difference if you are running 17" plus wheels. In fact some would say they are essential.
 
I've got 17's on mine but they are definitely 944 mounts, not these posh looking 968 jobbies. What ACTUAL difference do they make? If you fit these do the wheels need realigning at all i.e. could I just jack the car up and do it myself or does it need specialist equipment?!
 
The difference is that the 968 part has far less rubber, meaning that you get a far more positive location.
 
Tom, those who consider the 968 caster mounts are essential on anything with 17" wheels include Porsche themselves. Mind you, you donlt need to be on 17" to benefit. I have a set on my late 944 Turbo which is on 16" D90s. There's no downside to them - no problem with harshness or vibration getting through.

 
Yes, good upgrade and well worth the money. Will need a geo set up though which is worth getting done anyway if your not sure what way everything is currently pointing!

"Geo"?! Presumably that's street talk for geometry or alignment right? You kids and your ghetto talk!! [:D]
