Hi,
Does anyone have a photo of a 944S2 without the drivers side front wing on? I have a leak that I think starts from behind the wing. The water then makes it way in to the drivers foot well and when the front of the car is higher than the back runs in to the passenger foot well.
I would take the wing off to have a look to see it there are any potential water ingress points.....but its too x?,$&* cold.
Thanks

Not an S2, but the turbo must be the same....

There are some more in my photobucket albums (link in sig below) but I don't think there are any closer shots of n/s/r wing removed.

I would have thought water would be coming from below the windscreen though, rather than the front wing area. There are quite a few places where looms pass through...

IIRC is there not a drainhole that can get blocked with leaves at bottom of windscreen area?

Yep, my first thought. Also, plenty of cars have aftermarket alarms fitted and these are often routed through the bulkhead. Could a grommet be missing or perished? If the screen is badly fitted it could let water in, or as Elliot says the heater has been known to leak or fail.

Taking the drivers side wing off is easy enough but it's a fiddly job that will cost you half the skin on your hands.Top bolt into door post is a pig to get at because of the plastic guards around the abs pump.

Totally different car I know but MK1 Golfs do this. The scuttle drain tubes block with leaves if you dont clean them then water overflows down past the heater motor and in to the footwell under the carpet. It's a quick and cheap fix if it's that! [;)]
