New member
Hi Folks I had asked for advice on were to go for Service in the North East for my 2002 Carrera 4s I got one or two pointers and I made contact with Jamie at NELSON PORSCHE in the heart of Stockton on Tees. I had got a price for the Major Service some while ago and decided to have the Poly 'V' Belt done aswell. [Jamie advised me the belt was A 'OK' but as the car was Sold and I had promised the buyer the Full Monty I asked him to do it anyways.]
I can highly recommend him he services to the Porsche Spec and knows his way round your car .....I watched him do the Belt in about 4-5 minutes...the car came back feeling 'nice and tight' Price wise he is excellent give him a try I think you'll be Very Pleased with his service and whats more he's a Pleasant Guy I feel you can Trust!

This sounds awfully like an an advertisement, rather than a recommendation. Call me an old cynic if you like - it just seems odd to me that you would join a forum purely to make such a vigourous recommendation, especially after just selling the car.

Where did you ask? Clearly not on here given this is your first post.

Anyone else heard of "Nelson's"? - I'm inclined to agree with Richard.

Ken - sorry if I'm jumping on a new and innocent poster to the forum - it just does read very unusually for a first post. (You are, of course, very welcome - tell us all about your car[:)])

CYNICAL ? ... SURELY WE SHOULD EMBRACE THE THOUGHTFULNESS OF PEOPLE WHO USE CAPITALS AND EXCLAMATION MARKS IN THEIR SUBJECTS ... THEY OBVIOUSLY WANT TO BE SURE THAT WE NOTICE THE ADVERT :)

No Guys you have it wrong ....I have had the car coming up 12 months and was on this Club as Kenny4S [also on Renntech were loads of articles on the car and pictures were published again as kenny4S and on Porkers] but a Glitch would not allow me to Log on and I had to re register anyways with a new name 'ken4s' as I got Sky Broad band I had plenty of Posts of the Project on my Guards Red C4S showing pictures along the way with the Misha GT2M wing then the Techart Type II side Skirts and the Aerokit front colour coded spoiler....... with it's 19" Kahn Wheels all those were posted on this Forum under Kenny4S. I asked months ago for recommendations and was given Redline Racing and Nelsons......I plumbed for Nelsons on the Menu price and like anyone gave him a go .....that's an honest opinion [No he's not my Brother] ...I was impressed and told the Guy I would come back [If I get a less conspicous Model that is!] and would certainly recommend him.....I can see what you mean..... at face value 'one post' and 'sold' the car....Your right.... but hopefully that clears that up....I've not been paid 'LOL' and never met the Blokie Before....Give him a try you might be Happy with the price and result Cheers Ken PS Sold the car after the rise in running two cars can't use the Porsche as a 'Daily Driver' so Sadly it's away I will now Trade in the Mondeo and get something that I can park up without fear of Nasty Oik's Keying it!!!!

1000 apologies Kenny. Now I remember. I saw the C4S for sale (Pistonheads?) - no mistaking it, it's so distinctive.

Why did you sell it? Must have cost a bob or two for all the additions - you can't have got your money's worth. Any plans for a replacement?

Oops! But I'm still cynical of all those e-mails with subject in CAPS telling me to buy bodily additives ...

Yes Richard I got a fair price of 35.5k for her ....the Buyer [he was the very first caller within an hour!]
I believe has got a Steal.... I had a Trader 911Sport offering to buy it if he didn't ....I checked his site... the first 2002 C4S was sitting at 43995 and the others around 39995 so I guess that's the way to do it! I spent thousands on the Z06 before her and the Guy got every imaginable extra fitted and went off Delighted and I've had my Fun out of them....I must be a pretty good person to buy a car from eh! Now what to replace it with ....that's the next question one things for sure it will have to be a Daily Driver I'm not going to run two again I have done that for the last 10 years or more.....just toooooo expensive now! Maybe a less conspicous one!
