a few 997 touches like wheel design, door handles, etc - do you think the exhaust layout will be as the 997? looks that way from the coupe shot.
power for the base 997 is 321bhp? am I right that is only 5bhp up on 996? and with an identical 0-60 but with greater torque.
do you think this will limit the new 987 S to between 270-275 bhp ?

Andy having read todays Autocar road test of the 997 "S" which was absolutely glowing about how fantastically different and better the new model is, and its all new electronic suspension seems to be on a completely different playing field to the conventional Boxster set up, I can only hope that the 05 Boxster delivers the same sought of BIG differences over the original [;)] and is finally allowed more grunt as the 997 "S" is now way way out on the performance front 0-124mph in just 16.5 seconds as an example [8D]

HP aside I don't quite see that there is that much room for improvement over the original in the chassis department.

JCB..

It looks meaner, but is that just the effect of the black alloys? I haven't seen a Boxster with non-silver alloys? It isn't that different which is pleasing, seem to have taken the best bits and emphasised them.
