Hi everyone, or perhaps as they say in my native language, Bonjour à tous !!
As you are most certainly aware, the very sad passing of Paul Thompson as left a big gap in our register.
Stepping into his shoes is not going to be an easy task as Paul was very much liked by all and took great pride in bringing our community together.
Having very recently accepted to take over the role of 911SC Register Secretary I thought that a quick introduction was in order (more in the register news section here : ).
As per my opening, you will have guessed that I am a French expat who fell in love with the UK almost 30 years ago while coming here to study and never left....
Being a proud owner of a 1980 911SC and a member of the PCGB for a while now, I decided that it was time to give something back to our club by getting involved on the register and I am really looking forward to getting to know if not all but at least most of you thought this forum and hopefully in 2021 at various club events once things get back to normal.
With regards to the Register, I already have a few ideas and one thing that you will soon noticed is that we are bringing a group of people together to form a team best suited to respond to your expectations. I will introduce them to you very shortly but the one thing I would like to stressin the meantime is that this is YOUR register and we will therefore need your guidance and your input to make it a success. We are more than happy to help wherever and whenever we can so don't hesitate to get in touch.
I would have liked to conclude this short post with wishing you ''happy driving'' but I guess none of us are doing too much of this in our SCs at the moment so will just share a picture of my pride and joy and it would be great if you could perhaps share a picture of you car in return as a way to introduce each other
Franck.
