Hello All,
Just when I was not really looking, I have entered into the 930 Turbo ownership. I've had a 914-6 GT conversion for over 12 years and love it, but always had the dream of a 930 Turbo.
Through a friend, I've managed to acquire a rarely seen example that's been garaged for over 10 years with little use.
It's solid, but has been modified. My project will be to sympathetically put it back closer to stock.
It has the following;
Running 450bhp with K22 hybrid turbo. Exact one to be determined.
Aftermarket intercooler.
Replacement lower body sills, all around.
18in alloys.
Elephant suspension upgrades.
So here is the first request for help, it was running perfectly but I think the injection control unit has packed up. No current to the coil. The unit makes the right sounds on ignition.
Has anyone used one of the CDI+ boxes from Design911. They look just the ticket with modern tech to improve the overall running while looking like the original box.
Once it's running again, I'll post some pictures and the details / histories and hopefully meet some of the 930 Turbo owners out there.
Cheers for now
Si Jackson
