New 964 !!

Interesting car... But a 964 which you wouldn't want to drive for fear of depreciation for the same money as an exceptional condition, original paint and panels, very low-mileage 964RS?

I know which I would rather own.

80k? You could buy a dog 964 and renovate it to concours or buy a 993 Turbo 4 (and a good one too) for half that or even get both! You would have to have more money than sense.

I see your point, but any car is only original once, and where would you find another 'new' 964? other than the couple for sale in the USA of course.....

Think i'd buy a brand new 997 and save a few quid!! Bet you could even find a 6 month old GT3 for similar £££?!!

Nice car but I can't really see it being worth more than £45K to £50k when you could buy an already sorted 50,000 mile one for £20k[&:]

But maybe it's because I have more sence than money???

Think you're bang on the proper valuation there - but that would still have to be a special buyer at that level !

sense ?

At £80,000 this car becomes no use to anyone except maybe a museum!!
The best thing about a 964 C2 is the way it drives, however this car
carn't be used as the moment the milage goes up, it's value would free-fall! And who's going to take a hit like that when you could by a depreciation proof car for £20,000??!

I still think this is a great car, and for the that certain Mr Rich who wants a museum peice for his already extensive car collection this would make a great addition. Its never going to see the road, but thats OK, it becomes both a peice of art and a reference exhibit for us all to understand what factory finish actually looked like.

You occasionally see similar RS and NGT models - and again I think they are great, as it enable me to see what the original factory finish looked like for when the various peices on my car need replacing. For example, the floor pan of a 964 is mostly flat [&:] you would never know from looking at my car! [:D]

ORIGINAL: appletonn

ORIGINAL: Porker993

1990 ? 964 ? 75 miles ? Bet the engine still leaks [:)]

Probably more than one that has been driven![:D]

Nah it wont leak...after 20 years the oil must be like treacle!! All the gaps will have been bunged up by now....

When they say it's been Re-commitioned, I guess it's had all fluids replaced, an engine service, new battery, brakes rebuilt and new tyres??? All included in the £80,000 price tag................
