New 987 Radio Quality

I know its subjective but the radio reception on my new 987 seems poorer than that of my previous 986. Both had Porsche upgrade and the 986 had PCM. Anyone else with the same experience? I think a trip to Reading may be called for....

Hi Bill,

Just PX'd my 987 for a 997 and both have Sound Package Plus. The system in the 997 is far better, I have no idea why. The radio reception is better too. Perhaps its the PCM head unit? Or the sweet racket going on just behind your head that's spoiling the sound[:D]

Nah, the engine is musical but the radio sounds "tinny" its as if all the sound is coming out of the dash speakers. Anyway I've downed the treble and upped the bass and its a bit better. Reception still naff though so I'll go in by Reading next time I'm in the area.
