have a couple of small jobs to do, but apart from that it's in really nice condition.

Different drive compared to my 2.4S, but not in a bad way

I'll now have quite a few questions to ask [:D]

Very nice James and nice to see that you're getting it dirty [;)] Is updating your signature one of the small jobs? [:D] [:D]

this one is for all year round driving ..... unlike the yellow one that doesn't come out at all when there is salt about [;)]

Looks a good colour! - and it's ideal C4 weather now - I've seeing my green ABD light more this winter than the rest of my 3.5 years of ownership put together[:D] Congrats on the new car and good to see a DDK aficionado selecting a 993 as their year-round car.

thanks for the comments [:D] The 993 goes well with my 2.4S as they are different cars for different occasions. Although it will be used all year round, it isn't going to be a daily driver as we have other cars for that duty. Is a C4 cabrio a rare-ish car then ? I didn't go out specifically looking for a C4, although the more I learn about the 993's awd system the more I like it .... the C4 seems to suit a cabrio bought for touring perfectly [:D]

Yes, people on this board have found that, if you go out searching for any particular variant it always seems hard to find. I believe that is because there were lots of variants, (C2, C4, Tip, Manual, Targa, Cab, Coupe, S) and not that many cars were imported into the UK. After 15 years, numbers available for sale are gradually reducing year on year, as the good ones go into long term ownership and some are sadly written off. I have even heard of people finding problems sourcing a C2 manual coupe in RHD, possibly because not many were produced for the RHD market. So yes, a RHD C4 cab is probably a rare beast, particularly if you are looking for a particular colour/trim. Stand by for posts from fellow C4 cab owners to prove me wrong ! By the way congratulations and welcome to the 993 fold.

PS Here are the 993 UK production numbers as sourced by Maurice. Lovely car. I have also recently bought a 993 as a more regular user to an older 911 garage queen and hope it will be the best of both worlds. Nice to discover it is a rare car to boot !!

ORIGINAL: day1zero Enjoy.....they always look better with mud sprayed up the sides !!!
You should see mine at the moment - the silver wheels are completely black from all the winter crud on the roads. As fast as I was cleaning it it got dirty again in a couple of days so I've given up until the snow goes away. It looks quite righteous
