Hi All,

A quick post to introduce myself -my name is Adam and I'm based in Canterbury, Kent.

Just about to take delivery of my second Porsche (after a poor experience with a bore scored Cayman S.. )

The car is a 2003 996 Carrera 4 Cabriolet with a huge stack of options - X51 engine, M030 suspension, Grey Natural Leather (which looks almost black?), and just about every piece of carbon trim possible!

My question - how many X51 cabs are there? I haven't come across many?

Anyone else with Natural Grey Leather?

Cheers,
Adam

Welcome Adam!

Enjoy it :) Looks nice, I have no answer to your question though RE X51 Cabs I'm afraid

Hi Adam
Car looks very nice and the carbon is a nice bonus.
I think you will find it hard to find the exact number of X51 packs around as it is a customer option. so they are not listed in the figures it was expensive at 8 to 9k for an extra 25bhp
Enjoy.
Kind regards
Andy

I've got the "grey natural" leather in my 2003 model year manual transmission midnight blue C4 cabriolet. I thought it was black with grey carpeting until I received my Certificate of Authenticity from Porsche. It was first registered as a PC Solihull demonstrator with loads of daft extras, including the full aero pack with rear fixed spoiler, switchable sports exhaust, sports seats, full leather, Bose audio and "aluminium look" dash & centre console. Just 39,000 miles on the clock and a joy to drive (always top down) on these sunny spring days.

Enjoy yours.

Thanks for the nice comments all.

Regarding X51 - appreciate no way of knowing actual numbers, does seem like a rare option though.

pattersonoxford - I too thought it was black (as did the dealer) until looking at the build sheet and doing some reading. Can I ask if you have matching or black mats in yours? From what I've read Porsche only supply black overmats with the dark grey carpet (which lets the inside down a bit i think!).

Cheers,
Adam

Only the ‘40 Jahre’ anniversary edition came with the X51 Power kit as standard, otherwise owners had to spec, I cannot find any figures but I would guess between 5 & 10%.
