New 997 ownership & Servicing advice

Hi Everyone

I'm seeking a little advice please. I am just about to get back to Porsche ownership again (looking for a nice 997 Cab 2007 or 2008 vintage) after a 10 year interlude.

My previous car was a 993 C4 and at the time there were very limited places to take her for servicing, with a choice for me locally of a good Indy just outside Coventry or the main dealer in Bristol, both being a 60-70 mile round trip from Cheltenham, Glos.

However, we now have a main dealer in Tewkesbury and an Indy called Cotswold Porsche specialist (CPS) at Toddington and another specialist called Peter Chambers in Tewkesbury as well as Pro-9 in Redditch.

I just wondered if any of the members had used any of these sources and could give me some unbiased feedback?

I am hoping to become an active member of the PCGB once I have my new car so any help would be most appreciated.

Regards.

Hi,

I live in Tewkesbury and have used 3 of the 4 you mention. I used Pro-9 and was happy with their work, but decided they were too far away to use on a regular basis. I've used Peter Chambers once and although I don't have anything bad to say about them, I haven't been back. OPC Tewkesbury on the other hand have been excellent in everything they've done for me. I haven't been anywhere else since the first work they did for me in February 2015. They even offered to provide support when I decided to replace the suspension myself on my previous Porsche.

Cheers,
Bryan

We’re definitely the new kids on the block in the list above, but we really enjoy what we do.

If you want to swing by and see what we do, you would be very welcome.

I’ll let you work out which one we might be ... to avoid breaking forum rules!

Kind Regards Lee
