New 997 Speaker system picking up annoying signal

2nd minor complaint on the new 997...

No big deal but has anyone noticed something similar to a background whine'ing sound being picked up by the speaker system when all audio systems are off, PCM is off and engine is on?

I had this on my 2000 Boxster S but lived with it thinking a badly fitted after market phone kit was the cause

But now I have the exact same thing on a brand new 997 and no non factory extras fitted. Anyone else got this issue

Cheers

not had that one....but when the wife is in the car an I'm feeling a little racy....I do get it then[:D]

Could be caused by your mobile phone in your pocket which sends out wierd signals intermittently? Often get buzzing noises from the speakers if my phone is left in the cubby hole in the dash.

Just a thought.

Nothing to report here, even with a mobile phone in the cubby hole.
However the frequency response of my old ears are not what they used to be! I will keep an ear to ground in the future.

No wining to report, and surprisingly, based on what I have read elsewhere, no rattles to speak of from the car in general [:)]
