New alarm fitted - massive weight saving

I had a new alarm fitted on Thursday as the old one gave up the ghost and immobilised the car.

A very nice chap fitted the new one on the understanding that he remove ALL the old alarm cabling and equipment etc for the avoidance of future issues and conflicts.

I couldn't believe the amount of stuff that came out. It weighed a ton.

Interesting, and a similar story with mine, albeit it was car phone paraphanalia. A Clifford Concept 50 was once a very good alarm mind you - I remember my brother paying about £300 for one. Alas, gave him nothing but grief...
 
I remember removing two old alarms from a Golf I once bought, and reckoned there was over 2 KILOMETRES of cable put in the bin as a result ...
