Hi Stuart Alex started a thread on this topic some time ago, but it still holds good, I think. I use Photobucket as he recommends, upload a picture and then click on the IMG line and it copies automatically. Then when you paste it into the Forum, just retype IMG as img at each end. You can check in preview that it is working ok. Here's the original thread. http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=330961&mpage=1&key=uploading%2Cphotos&#330969

Very true but maybe the new all singing and dancing site they have mentioned will resolve these issues. Stuart, I find that only my direct links work correctly and not ones showing for forums.. [&:]

Hi Stuart, There should be no problem posting pics here, what's going wrong? We can't host limitless amounts of high-res photos here, as there are huge costs in the amount of server space required. That's why hosting sites, totally free, enable you to post any amount of pictures, full-size, without us incurring any costs. Simply use a hosting site like Photobucket. Copy the "direct link" from there, and insert it to the "image" option on this site. Gary, the new website will allow any amount of pictures, but the forum won't: the same issues with cost vs. space apply. The forum has to be open to non-members as a shop-window to the club, and a resource for the Porsche community. But, it also has to keep costs to the paying members down, so there will alway be the need to host pictures and video via links. Apologies if that's not correct, we admins are the last to hear of any changes! [&:]

Hi Paul My comments on update were more to do with being able to easy post links like most forum, it is harder to do on this format, as I mentioned it does work with direct links but other forums use the more simple forum links etc.. I agree that members should host- and therefore continue to own their images.

In Photobucket, select the "IMG" in "Links to share this photo" and paste the code directly into the forum page then amend the "IMG" and /IMG" to "image and /image" and you will get this (over 500kb)

It took me a few readings of Peter's referenced posting to sort out what worked best - happy posting...

Direct link in Photobucket doesn't work for me - you have to click on the link to see the photo. http://i1229.photobucket.com/albums/ee480/997Register/Scottish%20Tour%202014/2014-04-27180932_zpsffbe83ff.jpg Neither does HTML <a href="http://s1229.photobucket.com/user/997Register/media/Scottish%20Tour%202014/2014-04-27180932_zpsffbe83ff.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1229.photobucket.com/albums/ee480/997Register/Scottish%20Tour%202014/2014-04-27180932_zpsffbe83ff.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo 2014-04-27180932_zpsffbe83ff.jpg"/></a> Neither does IMG without some editing Deleting the URL sections and changing IMG to img seems to do the trick, but it is time consuming, Regards, Clive

No problem with your link, Clive. Except the slightly scary image that came up! [:D] Just click the "image" button when posting, paste the link in the middle and it's done with two clicks?

[/img] Not sure Mrs. W would agree with you, Paul [:D] You still need to edit the IMG code to exclude all the extraneous stuff. Regards, Clive

Absolutely brilliant pictures, and no not the one of me [] Glad you finally got it sorted Stuart and love the car. You'll be a happy man indeed.

Despite its detractors (dull, boring colour, etc.), I always think that Porsches look really good in silver. Plus, it's much easier to keep than the darker colours if you're not a "detailing" fanatic. Congrats Stuart - enjoy the car. Jeff

GT Silver is stunning and special - first appearing on the Carrera GT, I believe. Polar silver is another stunner. Regards, Clive

ORIGINAL: stuartw And the final one Thanks all Stuart
Stunning - I think GT Silver looks fantastic - I wasn't willing to pay the extra, so I went with Rhodium Silver for my car, but GT has that extra exclusivity! [:)]
