Got my C2S at last! Meets all expectations and have noticed the exhaust note is better than the pre-production demo cars so a sports exhaust may not be essential.
Is it normal that the rear wheel arches are unlined? I presume it is for cooling/air flow reasons but the exhaust box seems very vunerable.
Only gripes are rattles in door trim and steering column (but the trim quality is a step change improvement) and the back window seems to mist up too easily. The drive is A1 and currently getting 20.6 mpg which isnt bad. Auto dimming mirrors and rain sensors are really worthwhile by the way.

Hi there (new to forum) just been scanning all the past posts and catching the drift of what's going on. I have a bunch of annoying rattles and buzzes from various parts of the car. I have already sent the car back to the OPC for these, and then it come back with another bunch on rattles.
I have a Tip box, and noticed when I rest my left foot on the floor I can feel something moving underneath the floor pan. This is at slow speed, tapping the brake gently, rocking the car. Tell if you find it too

Now if I see a load of 997's carrying out this delicate manoeuvre, I will know where you heard it from first[:D]

Haven't experienced the floor pan one - maybe it is just ill fitting carpet or sound insulation material. Got my rattles fixed last weekend but there is still the odd click and creak coming from the passenger door area - very annoying and only 700 miles on clock! But its easy to forget the rattles when you hear that engine :)

Shane, it's nothing like that. There is something out there, underneath.[:-]
My rattles are in the passenger side too, have you seen the passenger seat vibrate when @ the lights. Maybe the wife would like it[:D]
I agree, 3500 miles on the clock now, and when I give it some stick, my god what a sound. Happy days
