I am delighted to let you all know that Peter Spence, otherwise known as 'Bones' on this forum, has accepted the role of Assistant Register Secretary. Thankfully, Peter will be helping me to update the Clubs website are and continue contribute to the forum. Welcome aboard Peter, I am pleased you are able to help out.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thanks all those SC'ers who took time to apply for the post and were unsuccessful. It was purely done on a first come first served basis! It just goes to show that we have great enthusiasm for SC's judging by the number of members who applied. Thanks once again.

On another rather disappointing note - I have just changed jobs and the email .pst file that I took with me to transfer all my data is locking me out and will not let me have access!!! I have years of contacts and SC email on there so I am unable to attend to those emails recently sent to me. That also includes the copy and images you sent for inclusion in Porsche Post!! I'm sorry but it cannot be helped. I'll have to start again!! [:(]

On the positive side at least I only have 24 miles getting to work and back instaed of 110 miles I have been doing for the past 9 years !! [:D]

Congratulations Peter,

Now you'll start getting the strange phone calls asking for your opinion on a car you've never seen[;)]

Well done!

Mark

Congratulations Bones, your posts have been a bit of an inspiration to me in my hunt for a proper 911. I ended up buying the SC Convertible that was advertised on here a few weeks ago. My little brother came over from Dublin last Friday and we flew out to the south of France to pick it up, we then had a mega roadtrip back home to Northants the following day. The car is just beautiful and I'm absolutely delighted with it. Will be sending you the details for the register very soon! Good luck with the new position mate. Cheers, John G

*Sorry engleflick, this message in reply to Peter's obviously, bit of finger trouble there due to 1500kms in one day and associated sleep deprivation!*

Nice one peter. I think your enthusiasm for the marque is obvious to everyone and will be a big benifit to us SC'ers
[:)]

Thanks for the welcome keep the jokes coming , I've no idea whether I will suit the job or not but I'll give it a go , you can all sack me if I go on a long drive one day and don't come back!

At risk of gaining access to your data, if you send me your PST file, I think I can sort it...I had the same problem (many times) []
