hi
it would seem i need a new back box for the s2,,muffler causing the rattle,,
best price i can find presently is around £250 from design 911 with free postage,,,
just wondered if thats a good price?,,much dearer with euro parts,,,
cheers jason p

I'd put a few strategically placed dings in the back box with a hammer first. You may stop a baffle plate rattling.

thanks Rog and Blade
but i would go with a new item and then check if i have a warranty as i believe this dansk was fitted just before i bought her so i might be able to claw something back,,,,
cheers jasonp

After my own experience I would go to your nearest longlife franchise and ask for a quote for a custom section (stainless). They come with a lifetime warranty plus you can speck it yourself...

A number of things i did by choice and the other things apart from mot i didnt pay for and unlike you Tom i dont touch a spanner,,,
but nice to know you care and thanks for your opinion,,,,
awful lot= handbrake shoes,,,mot [no advisorys] ,,4 new rainsports3 after mot and my choice and finally my new backbox,,,,
Oops! nearly forgot the bulb in my clock and heating speed controller was made good also,,,,
i aim to make her as good as she can be and can take my time doing it but content for the moment,,,,,jasonp

I've had a quote from cybox exhaust's, custom cat back system in S/Steel. http://www.cybox.co.uk/
They can tailor the sound to suit too, came in at, £450 fitted.
I'll probably change the catalytic convertor as it has a slight rattle from 2k-3k revs.( could be the heat shield coming loose, although I've not been underneath to check) I don't know if I'll buy off the shelf for it, or if cybox can make me onE up.

Sounds nice Al,,,,,
I ordered my new bb today from design 911 and having it delivered to the garage hopefully by tommorow,,,,
£282 incl tax,,,free delivery,,warranty and very shiny lol,,,,jasonp

Nice new shiny Dansk fitted today and a bracket
anybody realize how heavy these exhausts are?,,
i seem to have an improved throttle response? or it could just be me ,,,,,
annoying little rattle is no more,,,,,
time for a proper valet in the next couple of weeks,,
i imagine a good clay bar will do her the world of good.
those new boots and the exhaust seem to make the car drive,,sound and handle so well,,,,,,,jasonp
