hello

it sunday 2.45 just finished fitting, not really that hard just alitte tricky in places because of the bolts being so old and rusted on but a good 13mm spanner and brut force and jobs a good un. The sound is quite different, lower more bass in the sound track now.

go on you know you want one.

Hi

Fittes a S/S Dansk item to my '24S last weekend. As you say, once the bolts shifted it was pretty straight forward.

The sound is quite a bit different, much lower and gets going as the revs rise. Really pleased with the outcome. Got mine from Bert at Berlyn Services.

Nice one

Yep ! (see below)

do these boxes liberate a more power, or just sound good? I don't know if you have to change the whole system to get any performance improvements. Never looked closely at mine to see if the front end is restrictive in any way or just a straight through pipe.

It's on the list, along with Promax chip, induction kit and lowering suspension. Which would you do first?

cheers ........ Phil

Hi

As to performance not sure really, it feels alittle free'er on climbing through the revs, but wounldn't like to put money on weather any increase has been gained, how ever people really take note of the car more and it gives off the right noise to imply more power, or get out the way nova[8D].

as to the lowering or chip, well thats personal taste i guess, but i decided to have the car lowered first and get the set up right before trying to add more power through its standard little body. And to be sure it handles far better now and the extra width from the new 17inch cup3 wheels only adds to its road holding, but the induction kit and the chip are coming along with 968 rear wing, so not quite finished yet[:)][:)]

I think you and I are heading in the same direction with our car mods.....

where did you get your lower springs? Did you get them fitted professionally - I know the alignment will need doing properly but wondered if you fitted the springs and lowered the rear yourself?

Phil

hi phil

in answering to the lowering i had it done by PorscheShop if my memory surves it was around the £350 mark, this was front springs rear dropping and lining up etc.. I didint really fancy messing about with springs and setting the ride height etc i like to mess but i think if i had done it i might be a finger or two missing by now[;)]

Ps regarding your swtiches i have had a look in the garage and found the blanking plate which was over the missing swtich hole, if you want it send an S.A.E. to me and i will return it. (its black and plastic)
