Hi Guys

The battery on my 996TT is dead. I have heard that Bosch Silver Batteries are very good. Bosch suggest a 75amp battery but the old one is 80amp. Do you think 75amp is enough ?

What is the max amp the 996TT could coupe with as Bosch do a 100amp version which I could use.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated !

Cheers

Jon, did you ever get an answer to your question? My Turbo's battery has gone awol
and wondered whether I should get an aftermarket or just original?

Thanks

Tom

Hi Guys

Friends 996TT battery just died, he got an original replacement from Porsche - £145 ish !!!

J.

I've just replaced my 70AH version: £83.65 from OPC Silverstone (includes 10% PCGB member discount). I think the 80AH versions (for the Turbo) were around £143-ish (don't quote me on that though), not including any discount.

You have to get the Optima red-top (model S 4.2). You will never have a problem again. The stock battery is garbage.

It's a known problem with the TT, best invest in a battery conditioner & use it regularly!
