New book on the 964

Roger supplies the bumper brackets discussed in the technical section ...

(I'm sure someone else can come up with a better association than this!)

Just looking for the GBP price on Amazon UK, I see there was an earlier book along the same lines from Peter Morgan entitled "Porsche Carrera, Turbo, & RS (964): Ultimate Buyers' Guide". As the publisher of both books is Peter Morgan Media Ltd, is it possible that this new book is a further refresh of the earlier title (which itself was updated a couple of times), which Morgan has turned to someone else to undertake this time...?

I have that one. I bought it before buying my 964. It's a good little read and I often refer back to it. It's only about 70 pages so is a fair bit shorter than this new book is supposed to be.

Lee, thanks for reminding me where I had seen Roger's name before....I too bought the bumper brackets from him [:)]

The books are quite different.

There are a few out in the series of Ultimate Owners Guides by PMM Books -
3.2 Carrera by Gerald Wingrove
993 by Jack Criswell
etc

The format is sort of a cross beween potted history, Owners Manual, Basic Maintenance, and Hints and Tips.

The Ultimate Buyers Guides however contain all the information a buyer might need when looking for a specific model.

The 2 book series are complementary, rather than one being an updated version of the other.
