New boxster boy

Hey all...

Just bought my first Boxster. Very Very Very happy boy. Silver 2000 2.7 Tip less than 20k on the clock - only just run in i hear you say!... Ooooh she's lovelly.

I really could use some tips/manual on the CDR-22 headunit. I would like to retro fit a Becker 7860 Changer however, unsure if the car is prewired, the headunit will accept it and where to order a Changer mounting kit from. Other than that - at present - i'm very very very happy.

And loving the attention whilst spinning around with the hood down.!

Oh - After thought... Anyone interested in my old SAAB!

Thanks

Ant

Does your car have a sticker under the front boot? (there should be a copy in the front of the Guarantee and Maintenance booklet if not)
If this sticker has "C16" in amongst the code numbers then, for that model year, you already have the wiring you need for the CD Changer - it just plugs in (the front boot) and away your go!
If C16 is not present, then it MAY have the wiring, but may not... Start investigating above/around the top/back of the spare wheel...

And Welcome![:)]

Welcome, I know you will enjoy the Boxster[:)]
I have a spare CDR22 manual if you would like it.
Send me an email with your address

Why not buy yourself an IPOD and plug it into the stereo with the relevant attachment? I have not done this as most of the time I enjoy listening to the engine noise"¦

An ipod will be cheaper and give you more than a choice of 6cds. I'm sure there is a neat way to deal with cables etc.

All ordered... Gonna be iPodded up soon... Might install in the centre glove box out of sight. Anyone have any tips on removal of the GB to install cabling etc.
