Hi Guys,

i have just bought myself a 2001 2.7 Boxster and I love it, it has however got a couple of gremlins, which I expected as it was a good buy, it has 76k, fpsh, problem 1, the rubber on the remote key has gone so now won't work on the car, can i get just the battery part or is a whole new key? problem2 the starter occasionally sticks, any tips where to go, porsche want £500, problem 3, when you stop, then select reverse, back up then touch the bracke, there is a slight clonk, which sounds from the back wheels, also does it the other way round, reverse to first, then brake, gearbox, brakes all work fine, my suspicion is pads moving in the claiper?

All that has not dented my love for the car

A breif update, key cost £160 at Porsche dealer, new top part plus re-programming!, starter found onefitted for £300, and the pads are not OEM parts, so not too bad, still love it

Just repaired my key fob as the open/close button on the circuit board had broken up and dropped off! Ebay provided a pair of replacement buttons and a spare battery for £5.50. Ten minutes with a soldering iron sorted the button problem and a new key "back" was about £17 + vat. Job done. [:D]
