Hi all,

Quite an obscure subject for my first post, but I am positive from what I read on here that there is someone who knows the answer! I hope.

Right, the other day (not driving the boxster at the time) I was travelling towards a set of traffic lights which is fitted with red light cams. Anyway, on approach a few metres before the white line it turned amber... I was travelling at the time 36-37mph in a 40mph limit, but the road was wet... looking back i should have travelled through as I was too close to the line to stop... but me being completely paranoid and terrified of cameras hit the anchors and stopped (as prescribed in the highway code AMBER means STOP) and the vehicle came to a stop half way or so over the line... No way near entering the junction... ( I did not run a red light, I tried to stop when I immediately saw the AMBER, sadly I just slid over the line )

I have no idea if the camera flashed... or if it would in those circumstances?

Does anyone know whether i'll be ok? Surely theres an officer of the law or ticket officer who enjoys Porsche ownership that maybe able help... hopefully calm my nerves... I assume a Notice of intended prosecution applies (within 14 days) to find out whether I face anything? (If it did flash) (If it did is there disgression used seeing that I attempted to stop?)

Sorry about this crazy post... can anyone help me on this one?

Thanks

ps. naturally I proceeded when the light retuned back to green... up until that point I just sat there cursing myself, ...my leg aching from pressing the brake pedal whilst braking to stop and while waiting for the lights to change back to green!

Has anyone also noticed that the amber lights all seem to have different duration periods, I find Camera T/Lights often have a very short ambers compared to non equipped T/Light junctions?
