Hiya it took me a while to find this forum, but cool.

I am a proud owner of a 2.7 boxster 2.7 Lapis blue metrople ble hood and leather with loads of other goodies.

I upgraded from a 3.0 z4 which i had for 2 months.

Sadly i picked the car up at 7 pm in swindon and skidded on diesel at 11 and completely cracked the rear alloy and both tyres on left side.

The tracking was out bigtime and needed a geomtry check

This only partly cured it as it is still noy aligning completely. There is a dent on the rear right shock absorber so this is being changed this week.

Luckily other than bust alloys and scracthes to underside on bumper i am up and running.

Havent pushed it yet as waiting for tracking to be 100% percent.

Look forward to meeting you guys soon at track days or a meet up

[:D]Welcome to the Boxster Group and when we meet up keep a wide berth [:D][:D]as I like my same coloured Boxster as yours to remain unmarked at all time [:D][:D]

Did you like the Z4 a little or not at all

Im ashamed to admit this but yes i had a z3 for 3 years.

I originally went to my BMW dealer to see if they had a few boxsters trdaed in against the z4 which they could sell me at trade. They said no.

The other half was there and we got talked into a z4,

being a z3 owner upgrading to a z4 they gave a very good trade in price, nearly 1k more than the best equivalent porsche dealer against a boxster.

i thought buy the car ru for two months and sell above list or at list.

the car seems to be a flop as so many unsold ones around.

I did like the car and it had all the toys and very high spec. I did well
as i got to drive it all summer and sold it for what i p[aid for it 2500 miles later witha scratch on the left bumper and slow puncture on rear!! I am a good driver honest.

it was a head turning car and fun to drive but I always wanted a boxster.

one thing i miss is the asc and traction i dont know what happened that night. i have driven along that round about loads of time and the boxster just lost it

the recovery guy did say that even if i had my z4 with raction i would have lost it :(

[8D]When you have had more time with your new toy post a posting and let us all know why it's the greatest sportscar in the world at any price [:D] despite BMW's brand new best effort to date [:D]

Rajuk,

my partner has a Z3 3.0 Tip and its not a bad car at all, especially the enthusiastic way she drives it! BUT she much prefers my S.

Re alignment. I recomend a carefully done "track day" set up which goes for zero toe in and maximum negative camber. Gives better turn in and grip over standard settings.

Email me if you want the spec for this
